Jemma Bowers married Justin Williams

How we met: Cruising the Esplanade in Surfers Paradise checking out the custom cars.

Proposal: After eight years in a relationship Justin proposed to me at the Sheraton Mirage, Main Beach. Romantically in only a towel after a long bubble bath. Then off to a romantic dinner.

Ceremony: Braeside Chapel. Justin and I wrote our own vowels and had a completely personalized and custom reading by our amazing Celebrant Kylie Lewis. Kylie was amazing and extremely professional and made the whole process very simple for us.

Reception: Braeside Chapel, in the beautiful permanent marquee. The menu was prepared by Clancy’s Catering and the food was delicious, all my guests loved the food and the table service.

Theme: We based the bonbonniere around Easter being that we were married on Good Friday.

Cake: Three tier white chocolate, dark chocolate and white chocolate layers.

Dress: Wedding Dress was purchased from Luv Bridal.

Shoes: My shoes were cobalt blue and purchased from Zu Shoes.

Transport: I arrived in a beautiful black Lincoln Continental, my bridesmaids arrived in a Brock Commodore and a silver Walkinshaw and Justin and the boys in a custom VK Commodore.

Photography: Martinia O’Sullivan of Life, Love & Light Images was amazing. She was very professional but one of the most down to earth people, she captured our day perfectly. Highly recommend Martinia, she was a pleasure to have with us on our special day.

Advice: Keep in touch with all your suppliers. My florist waited until two days before the wedding to tell me my flowers might not be available and made me pick back up flowers. Much to my disappointment. She then called back the day before to tell me they were ok. Was stress I didn’t need.
